We are so thrilled to have supported the San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) with its big win this week at ACI-NA! Our client took home the Best Overall Public Relations Program award in the small airports category, from Airports Council International – North America.

The SBD Good Neighbor Program is a proactive outreach program that educates the surrounding community about airport activity. Through the program website, presentations, airport social media accounts, and media outreach, the SBD Good Neighbor Program helps inform the community about SBD’s role as a regional economic engine, aircraft operations, as well as the airport’s operational and infrastructure developments. The program also provides neighbors with several ways to comment and ask questions about aircraft-related noise.

The Overall Public Relations Program award is for multifaceted, planned efforts to improve an airport’s image in the public eye. Aviatrix Communications designed the SBD Good Neighbor Program brand, its outreach strategy, program website, presentation templates, and key messages. In addition to developing the program, Aviatrix staff continues to provide program guidance, social media management, and quarterly reports to the Airport Authority Board.
